Can’t believe that google will now make it’s own web browser. I didn’t do much/any reading on it, but thought I will just donwload it and try it out. My first impression is that it keeps the interface to minimal which is what I like, all the common shortcuts works, responses is very quick and all the small little details are done right (for me anyway)! Just everything I need for a browser! I’m surely dropping firefox (at the moment I use it to check email since opera doesn’t load gmail nicely!). It’s difficult to not sure google since their products is so well decided, but there is a danger that I’m so dependant on google products!!! Would be nice when they release the Linux version!

I’ve been searching for a daily software for work for a few weeks now, finally find something that I like. All I want is a simple daily, more like a advance notebook with features that helps me orgainse the notes better, something like the Tomboy notes would do the job nicely, a online one would be even better. But I can’t use that since I’ve to work on a Windows machine at work. I also don’t really want to setup another wordpress blog for it since it’s not going to be public and I don’t need all that functionality, just need something simple.
This morning I found the Google notebook, it’s quite amazing, and I’m very happy with it. The functions it supports is just what I need + a easy to use interface and it’s online which means I can access it anywhere given that I have connection to the internet! It even has a firefox plugin that makes it even better. It also supports sections and different notebooks, before I found this I used to use gmail draft to just drop down something, now it’s a lot easier. Thanks google for another amazing application/software.
Other Google software that I like:
This was a surprise to me last week when I first experience myself that google is down (including gmail, anyaltics, search, etc…). At first I thought it was my internet connection which went down, but even this blog is up! This is something that I thought won’t happen (near impossible), and I used to just ping google to check my internet connection… I wonder what is going on with google since the downtime has become more frequent, I myself have experience 3 times already in the past 2 weeks. And it’s happening again now while I’m writing this post.
Decided I would do a search and find out if others have the same problem, I naturally type “google downtime” in the search box and forgot that it’s down! I think it has become so natural that many people would use google for granted, it’s something we should appreciate. Everything is possible and will change – IMPERMANENCE!
Google keeps improving, they just released a new version of the Goolge Analytics yesterday. The main differences for me is the interface, when I compared sitemeter and Google Analytics last time, I mentioned that sitemeter has a simpler interface. With this new version, I feel that they have managed to put in as much information as possible in a user friendly way. It does take some time to get use to and they are new features which I haven’t try as well, e.g. the customisable dashboard. Remember, Google Analytics is free, Google is quite amazing. Here are some screenshots which I took:
Overview – Summary page
When I was just using Google as usual, I suddenly released the interface has changed. Is it a new interface??? I have no idea, just know that it’s different. Did a search and found that google is going to have a new interface, but slightly different to the one I see. Anyway I don’t know why it changed for me, either do I know how to get it on other computers but it’s interesting. Have a look at the screenshot below, or click on the image to see the full size screenshot
Went to TRL today, it’s an interesting company with a very nice building, a very “refreshing” building with a lot of natural lighting and plants. The main building is surrounded by some motorway “tracks” for testing which looks like racing tracks from the satellite. Didn’t manage to take any photos, but got some screenshoots from google earth.
