The desktop I had was six years old so it was time to upgrade, I wanted something small and low power but has a decent inbuild graphics that can drive a 2560×1440 monitor over DVI-D. So, I decided on getting a ITX system with the AMD FM2 APU, was waiting for the A8 7600 to come out but that wasn’t out as early as expected, so went for A8 6500 instead.
Case: Antec ISK 110 Mini ITX
Mobo: Asrock FM2A88X-ITX+ @ NB 1.10V
APU: A8 6500 @ 1.125V
HS(F): Prolimatech samuel 17
Fan: Raijintek Aeolus Alpha 140mm
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 1866mhz 2x4GB @ 1.480V
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB
Build went well except the heatsink samuel 17 is a few millimeters too long and the ISK 110 can’t close. So I had to trim part of it off to get it to fit in the case.
Running at stock frequency with slight undervolting, temperature of system and APU idle at around 30°C.
